The weather is getting cooler, and the days are getting shorter which means one thing; fall is coming! I thought it'd be very useful to put together a few essential pieces for fall this season. Personally, I think that a piece of clothing should be timeless. Therefore, all of the pieces that I will be showing you all will be able to be worn in the winter, spring and summer; you just have to be creative. Feel free to click on any of the photos to see where each garment is from. Leave a comment about your favourite fall fashion trend and how you would style them in different seasons!

Long Colorblock Field Jacket: This awesome military inspired jacket comes with double pockets at the waist that have been accented with gold snappy buttons. The colorblock field jacket also comes with a removeable hood with a wonderful corduroy interior! I think this jacket is perfect for the fall not only for the colour scheme, but also for the fact that it's not too heavy, but perfect for the brisk Canadian weather at this time of the year. The length is also perfect because it helps to protect from wind and gives your legs a little more warmth.

Babaton JARROD SWEATER: This oversized sweater is made from linen and silk yarn and has a deep v-neck. This sweater is something that should stay in your closest all year, it can be worn on cool summer nights and during the fall when the weather is in the middle of hot and cold. I would pair this with simple black leggings and combat boots OR light-wash skinny jeans and a black or white pair of low-cut converse. I love this sweater because the possibilities are endless when it comes to how one can style this. Definitely a must have for fall!
Up close & personal.

Combat Boot: I am very surprised that combats have lasted this long in the world of fashion. Last year, combat boots became incredibly popular and I'm so happy to have them back in season! These boots are Prada, but there are so many other places you can find cheaper options. Combat boots are great because they add attitude to a seemingly boring outfit. These boots can be paired with clothing to dress up or down in. Leggings and an oversized sweater, jeans a white t-shirt and a cropped leather jacket or even an a-line t-shirt dress would also be extremely stunning with combat boots!

Full Midi Skirt: Fierce and feminine, this awesome full skirt is the awesome starting point for so many potentially fabulous fall outfits. I would pair this with a loose t-shirt (tucked in, of course), an American Apparel crop top or even a small graphic sweater. Shoes? Chuck Taylors, open or closed toe heels or platforms? Go crazy with this look!

The Silky Scarf: Often times, you need a little extra protection from the cold that the fall weather has to offer. Instead of pulling out your heavier jackets too soon, just add a lovely lightweight silk scarf to your ensemble. Chances are, you'll be warmer, more stylish and happier that you've found the perfect piece to achieve both of those goals. Scarves are so versatile that you should never feel or look boring while wearing whatever you have chosen. Check out Refinery29's 5 Fresh Ways to Tie a Scarf!
